Transporting between Planet and Moon

Transfering between Planet and Moon:

Transfering won’t happen automatically and will need to be upgraded before it works instantly. For mecha suits to be used on the planet they need to be transfered to the planet base and for any attack in space, they need to be at the moon base. It makes sense to transfer the two back and forth.

Levels:

  1. 24 hours
  2. 20 hours (256,000 credits)
  3. 16 hours (512,000 credits)
  4. 12 hours (1,024,000 credits)
  5. 8 hours (2,048,000 credits)
  6. 4 hours (4,096,000 credits)
  7. 2 hours (8,192,000 credits)
  8. 1 hour (16,384,000 credits)
  9. Instant (32,768,000 credits)

By my calculations, it would be almost impossible to get teleportation and I may eventually use tech trees to create the teleportation and better transport ships. Right now I’m depending on levels and basic upgrading.

I will need to create the cron job to run every hour to decrease the time and how far the transport ship is from the planet. The reason for this is, so that I can eventually create an attacking option for attacking transport ships. I don’t think it will be that hard to do this, but it should take at least four hours, and I’m going to do it before I start the attacking features.

Attacking

I still need to do attacking, which will have to allow a few more features than just attacking the base. It has to allow the colony to spy on the base and show what the player has. I need to log that so that the player can see it later. Besides spying there are other attacking options that I need to work out.

  • Attack a section of the player land
  • Attack all of the player land.
  • Try to steal a city.
  • Try to steal a mine.
  • Spy on land
  • Attack with Colony

Some of the options won’t be available and others will be dependent on having a colony. I haven’t decided on some of the options and I don’t know if some of the features will be available in this version. The ability to attack the colony and moon base are useful because it allows a player to be weaked once they have gained a lot of power.

Beta:

Power and the Cron Jobs need to be balanced during the rest of the alpha and on in to the beta versions.

Future:

I want to add attacking for taking out colonies but right now since it cost so damn much, I think it would be a better option to probably add health and have the colony take damage until it is destroyed. I also want to add something where you can attack the planet base, but right now it doesn’t seem likely that it will happen.
