I’ll be going to Maryland, in and around Columbia to visit my Grandmother, Uncle and his wife. I want to take a lot of pictures and hope to at least take one of OmniTI front offices. Among the list of things to do:
- Buy Chris’s Security Book
- Camp out and try to get Chris to sign it
- Then sell it on Ebay (Cue Evil Laugh)
Nah, Wez would probably kick my ass, so I’ll probably not go there. It would be cool through, to see the place where so many great people work. To strive to be at that level to one day take up a desk job doing web development is a goal of mine. I have no idea if it would even be sane to ask for a tour.
I am content doing web game development. I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready to work in an environment where you code for 8+ hours straight. By the time I finish school and hone my mad skillz, I’ll probably be around 22 or 23. I’ll rather try to find a job in the local area first in an intern or junior level field. My lack of web designing skills does kind of limit my capacity in web mastering. No amount of schooling or practice will ever get me to design a beautiful web site.
Mini Vacation Details
I’ll be missing out of four days of work, but I should still have enough money to pay the bills. It will take away from any development I’m currently doing, but it will be worth it. I haven’t seen my Grandmother in so long, the next I’ll probably get the chance to see her is another two or three years. I don’t want to regret not going now, if something were to happen to her. I don’t think anything is going down in the next three weeks, but who knows what the next two or three years would hold.
