Absidon Games
The primary focus is to centralize the Wiki, FAQ, Bug Tracking, and Game Information, as well as Developer Information. The idea was to add these items to each of the individual game sites, but that would cause one game to take longer than what it should.
Packages To Use:
- MediaWiki
- phpFAQ
- Mantis
Roadmap:
The roadmap since integration is key, is to slowly get the “base” up first, which will include the mostly static pages about the Developers and Games, then work on the integrated products.
Phase 1: Add new design Template, as well as dynamic capabilities to add Game and Developer information. Start the Admin panel to handle these tasks.
Phase 2: Integrate phpFAQ and display popular questions and allow people to ask others.
Phase 3: Integrate MediaWiki for game documentation, as well as update the other parts to allow new formatting.
Phase 4: Either by this time if Trac 0.11 or .012 is stable then upgrade to that for the bug tracking. If not then Bug tracking via by Mantis will be added instead.
Timeline:
To be completed mid 2008 – 2009.
DragonU
DragonU will finally become the “Professional Web Development Company” I had planned for it. It will also include other projects that aren’t games. I also want it to include a request form to do custom scripts and web sites. I doubt anyone will actually take me up on those offers, but it could be fun nevertheless.
It will include a similar set up as Absidon Games, except it won’t include Developer information. I doubt DragonU is going to grow more than just me anyway. It will include my resume, and information pertaining to the sites I have worked on and currently working on.
It doesn’t need the bug tracking and mediaWiki integration, but should benefit from it at a later time. The first phase will only include the basic CMS type controls with the others dealing with any other projects I may add.
Timeline: To be completed before 2008.
