Serendipity Change, Maybe

I don’t know, what I really want is a blog where I can post and also receive feeds from other blogs. I like WordPress, but I would also like to set one place for where I go to and read up on other news. I spend some time going through each of the feeds reading any new posts. While, I’m not bothered by it, I would like to see what the content is before I travel to the page. I have to go by title alone and some times I miss something that I would have otherwise gone to.

I don’t like the WordPress Template system and for Serendipity, Smarty is not something that should be used to compare products. I will probably like how they use Smarty and it should make editing and changing my favorite template around easier.

Sections

I would like to try out the Gallery 2 plugin and see if it works better than the one for WordPress. Forcing users to travel to the gallery from within WordPress can be a pain sometimes.

Most likely, I want to separate the personal from the programming and the game development. I also want to set up a section for when I write stories and stuff. I have the section now, but I’m not utilizing it at all.

Planet Feature

I want to have a section for Feeds that I can browse of people that I visit regularly. I could either hack the plugin for it or create my own.

Time to Live

I would like to have it done within a month, unless WordPress 2.1 or 2.5 includes these features, then I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. That is, if I don’t have any problems implementing these in Serendipity. I’m going to have to start and try it out first and see how everything goes. I need to find a good design that will allow for these things in the first place.
