After that Samith thought me the different kinds of skeletons and other necromancy. I liked the skeleton mages and would create them to fight my skeletons. I would create a black orb, intensify it then destroy it. I practiced for a total of six months then he taught me something new. Samith took me out where we always trained, then he created a blue colored, glowing round ball that was the size of his hands curved around it. Then he told me to create one. As always I had no idea where to begin but from my training of basic magic I sent my power out seeking knowledge and to my surprise, I got a response.
“So you want to know how to do geomancy, eh?†said the tree, which didn’t seem shocked like I was. The tree was having an interesting conversation with the wind about two humans who were conducting geomancy and was going to go away before it could be drawn into the magic. The tree was old and knew of a time when humans talked to all forms of earth. The tree didn’t admit it but it liked talking to humans and telling them the secrets of the world. It missed the old times before the Wizards Hundred Year War.
“Yes, I would like to know how to create an water orb.†I asked it.
“Well, you could talk to the earth on the matter since I don’t fully know,†replied the tree.
“How will I do that?â€
“Well, you can’t because the earth wouldn’t listen to you but I could tell you what I know instead and maybe that could help you. Also, could you direct it around me because I could use the extra water? Thanks.†Said the tree then proceeded to tell me what it knew on creating a water orb. I gave my thanks and started to create it.
I curved my hands into an open ball formation and focused some of my power into it. I could feel the energy from the ball then imagined water in it and transforming it. I was able to hold it for only a moment but in that time I was able to shoot it towards the tree but it fell short. The tree didn’t mind because it had long roots and could reach it. Samith taught me the other forms of geomancy orbs: Wind, Fire, Earth, and Water. Water could also be made into ice with more concentration but he didn’t tell me how. He went on to teach me what else you could do with geomancy. All that is needed is to think of what you want to do and draw your power to form it.
