As I walked down the last hill to the vast plain that makes up the country I was attacked by a band of 12. They pinned me down before I had a chance to protect myself. Then they took me to their city, caged me and brought me across the plain for a week. I was pretty mad about the situation but didn’t think anything about it till later when I cut most of their throats of the guard. They took me to in front of the court, not giving me a reason for why they did that. The Judge was overweight, mean looking man. I didn’t have any respect for the fat man but I answered his questions anyway. He asked about where I got the moves. I told him I was trained in the art. He asked me if I was taught how to do shields. I said no, I learned that from a book. He asked me if I had the book. I told him that I didn’t which was true. He became furious and ordered me to return the book. I asked him why? He told me that I stole it from the city and it needed to be returned. I didn’t believe the man but I let him escort me out of the city.
I didn’t head back home since it was to far away and I wasn’t going to do what the man said anyway. I continued north and reached a vast lake surrounded by trees. I almost fell into it but I stopped and got a drink from it before continuing my journey. I kept going north till I came across a ruined city. I didn’t know it was there till I was right at the gates. The fact startled me but I didn’t pay attention to it and entered the city. I explored the city and each building held some surprises. In one building I saw that it was a blacksmith at one point or another. I found that it had a ladder leading to the attic and I went up there. I was surprised to find a chest of items but I didn’t pay attention to the contents. There was another chest behind it, I opened it and found that it was junk. I was going to close but something caught my eye. In there was a sword and armor and some glass balls and one was gold. In there was also a bag so I picked that up to. I tried the armor on and it fit perfectly but when I first saw it, it was bigger than me. When I got back home I would have her fix it up for me. I also put the belt on and put the long sword in the sheath where it belonged on the belt. There were other items that I put on the belt and others I put in the bag. I don’t know why I took the junk from the chest but something compelled me to do it. I left the blacksmith shop and went to the next building that was standing. I saw that it was once a hut where a family lived in. In it I found a journal that described why the city was in ruins. I read it and felt anger well up in me. I put it also in the bag and continued to the next building.
