Quest For Magic: Vincent Draft 1

I looked at the book at what it had to say about expending the shield. Once I found it I practiced it. It was a drain on my power to do it for very long. I asked them if they could use some of their magic to help me but they didn’t know how to do that. I noticed that the girl looked at me awkwardly when I asked the question but I took no notice. I could tell that I was stronger than they were so I power level was higher than theirs. I was a necromancer so I just took what they could spare after asking their permission. I was able to extend the shield but it would only last us till we got to the cages. We would most likely be extremely weak after we get there so I decided to go alone and have them attack from different sides. I took off my bag and one of the glass balls fell out. The girl grabbed for it but I picked it before her. I looked at her as she held out her hand to me. She asked me if I knew what the glass ball was? I said I didn’t know and she ordered me to give it to her but I didn’t like the way she said it so I didn’t give it to her. She looked madly at me but she back off. The boy watched the whole thing came over to me and said that he seen the tiny glass ball in one of the books his father had. The book said that they were used in the war three hundred years before and it would blend in with the mages power. Blend in I said, like with skills and spells a mages learn add to the overall power level the mage has. She asked me my magic level and I told her that it was 20. She laughed and told me that hers was 50. I should give her the glass ball because she could use them and I couldn’t. I took out another glass ball that was gold colored that I had and an event happened that changed me.

All the glass balls of different colors came out of my bag and belt. Another gold colored glass ball came from the ground buried for years after the battle 300 years prior. The all hovered above my head and went in to my outstretched hands one by one in each hand. I had twenty in all not including the two gold glass balls that went in first followed by the twenty glass balls. Ten in each hand and it was extremely painful. My power level went up from 60 to 200. I was stronger than she was but I don’t think she knew how stronger I was than her. I was surprised that I could read what made her power level. Her magic level combined with her skills that I now knew. She had been holding back on us but why? I didn’t ponder it since someone down there heard my moans of pain and was now trying to tell the leader. The girl didn’t waste a minute and killed him with an ice arrow she pulled from her bag. She used her magic to shoot it instead of using a bow. In a way it was more precise and faster than with a regular bow. I had a few questions to ask her later on but we had to a mission to do. I extend my invisibility shield to include them too and we ran to the cages. While we ran, I took out my sword and felt its power surge through me. I looked down and felt as if it was a part of my hand. When we got to the cage of the ogres, the invisibility shield came off and I cut down the guards of the cage before I cut off the lock to the cage. The robbers came after us but were cut down by the girl and boy’s attacks. The ogres came out and down at me for a moment as the came out and beat a path to the other cage. Arrows came at us and I extend a shield to my friends. I tried to send it to the ogres but it wouldn’t work. I didn’t need to since the arrows would bounce off their rough skin. The ogres got to the other cage first and torn off the metal door like it was paper. The ogres made a circle around the human prisoners beating down any robber that came to close. I created skeleton mages and skeletons to back them up. We made our way out of the camp killing half the robbers in the group.
