Quest For Magic: Vincent Draft 1

I couldn’t see the door but what I did see was a wall of tall green bushes with a guard at each walkway. I began to wonder that if I had just walked across the maze if I would have made it pass them. They had their back to me and I was glad because they didn’t seem to friendly and their long sword didn’t look like a very nice toy. I turned around and noticed didn’t see a wall. I looked again and saw the door but I was looking that way before. I was confused and looked around the maze again. The part that I seen was still a tiled rock floor then halfway back there was a wall to the maze and guards. The pool was still there but it had changed from being a simple natural pool to a stone pool that could be the one from outside the school. Except this one had stairs going up to the top of it where a book hovered over a stone block. The water was still and unmoving like the air in the room but as I looked up I saw sky.

I had passed through to someplace that I had no idea where it was or how to get back out. I looked back to the room and saw something that I had overlooked. The room was not damp for the water was not there but here, so it was this place that was connect to room. The transfer must have charge the water and therefore the room could never be flooded since the water didn’t really exist in that world. I reasoned that I couldn’t get hurt in this world because I’m not technically here. I told myself that but as I touched the stone and picked some of the dead, brown grass up I saw my hand peel from the grass touching me. I dropped it and notice that the stone was cracking and in the water there were reflections of ghastly people. I looked up and didn’t see them on the water so I thought that it was a trick of my eyes.

I walked up the steps and as I did I looked down at the water. It had a metallic flow and coloring deep in the water and I couldn’t see a bottom. I didn’t want to find out if there was a bottom so I kept going up the steps till I got to the top. I stopped in front of the book to get a closer look at then walked around till I was behind it. The book was red, with black bindings; the book was a couple of inches off the block of stone with a silvery glow coming off it. I had to bend down to look at and after looking at I stood up straight and saw a tall woman.
