The unusual thing about her was that she was hovering off the ground like the book. It didn’t scare me for a second then I noticed that I wasn’t a couple of inches off the ground. What frightens me even more was when she spoke to me in my mind. She told me something but I didn’t hear it, all I saw was the guards coming toward the fountain pool and I my hand going toward the book.
I woke up in my room with the doctor in my room. I didn’t know why he was there but then I remembered and thought it as a strange dream, till I saw the book on my table. The doctor didn’t seem to notice it or he didn’t think much of it. The book was there then what happened to me afterwards. I knew it wasn’t a dream then because I had proof and I could remember everything that happened when I was in the maze and room. I coughed to get the attention of the doctor and he came to me.
“What happened?†I asked him innocently.
“You don’t remember where you were? Well, that makes sense since you were passed out on the floor of the library. You had a bump on your head, I think from the fall.†Replied the doctor, confused about something.
“What is wrong with falling?†I questioned since I reasoned that it had to be about the fall.
“Well, the funny thing about it is that the bump was in the front of your head and you fell backwards. It also usually takes about a day to get rid of the bump but it was gone in an hour. You were also wet but there wasn’t any water in the room. I guess someone found you before we did and dumped water on you. Pretty ill of them, huh?†attempted the doctor at a joke.
I didn’t reply to him and fell silent after that. So I had been out for at least an hour or two since it took an hour for the bump to go away. I wondered what really happened after I passed out. I guess I will have to find out later but I didn’t think I would. I never read anything about where I was in any books but I didn’t get to read the book I had taken from the maze. I went to it on the table and went to open it but before I did I finally remembered what she said. I didn’t open it nor did I touch it because she had put a spell on it but the spell was incomplete. It would still work but I should be able to break it if I can find where it is and remove it. It took me till late the next day to work the spell out and break it. Everyone at school had treated me differently; it was almost like they feared me.
