I spent the whole night reading the book, mostly the warning that it had in it. Also had the basics of magic that I knew already but this book went into full detail and some parts in it I didn’t know before. Then I came upon the table of contents and didn’t see anything that would explain where I was but I did see a lot of subjects that I was searching for in the library. I found a book that had everything that I wanted and it was mine. I spent till summer reading and studying the book and practicing some of the many aspects of it. I learned everything in the book almost by heart and my peers didn’t bother me any more nor did the teachers burden me and take away credit I earned. I thought it was from the other teachers but I wasn’t for sure.
I was let out before everyone else since I was at the top of my class and sent out to go home. My hometown of Townsend was hundred miles away and it would take me a week or two to get there. I should get there around summer, when my family planed to have me there to have a feast in my honor, and then I would go back for another school year. I’m sure they will be proud of me when I get there.
I sent off on the trail to the nearest town and some teachers saw me off. I waved a farewell as I went out on the dirt trail with many-colored flowers that grew on the plain on both sides of the path. The road that I walked on was only wide enough for a wagon and when it rained it was impassable so no supplies came during the last month. I consented to enjoying the picture perfect scenery around me. I had two miles to walk to get to the nearest town so I should enjoy the sites.
It wasn’t a hot day in late March since the land here is close to the borders. People that come here do so because the climate is almost perfect. My journey would take me through 50 miles of roads and two towns so it should take me at most two weeks to get home. I will need to buy all the supplies I can from the towns when I get there. Travel to the first town was uneventful and I decided to have some fun when I got passed the gates. I looked at the book and pondered what I should do first. I choose invisibility and then cloaked myself so that no one could see me. If someone looked hard enough they could see the outline but they would have to know what to look for.
