Dual Tuners With Only One Coaxial Connection

What I don’t like, is that for me to have dual tuners, I need to have two coaxial connections, which means I need to split the signal. The problem I have is that the more you split the signal the more the quality degrades. I suppose it will be fine, with buying a signal booster, but I’ll rather buy a dual tuner with one coaxial connection that manages the split internally. This feature already exists in current set-box DVRs, so I’m thinking it is possible, but just not done for either patent or complexity reasons.

I’m really not interested in the clutter and mess of wires that will be created from the amount of coaxial that will be required to setup Quad Tuner. If I had two dual tuners requiring four cables, then I’m going to have a serious mess. That is given if I can find a cable that is only a foot long.

I’m still looking and waiting for the newer technology to come out. ATI has pretty much stopped the All-In-Wonders, but I hope they will improve the x1 PCI Express cards. The competitors also seem to be creating more interesting cards. Maybe in a year or two, if they haven’t already.
