Apparently, getting dual-monitor working is really, really easy. It just takes forever to go through the documentation and come to the realization that you’re an idiot! I suppose this is one of the reasons Linux still hasn’t taken Windows.
- You will notice an error, if you try to set a monitor to the right of another monitor. It will basically give some shit about your mother being overweight, wearing yellow, and something about a bus. I really wasn’t paying attention. Anyway, it is telling you that your virtual screen isn’t big enough to support moving one screen to the side of another.
Section "Screen"
…
SubSection "Display"
…
Virtual 3600 1200
EndSubSection
EndSection - After you add the suggested Virtual screen size, you can then enter, “sudo xrandr –output DFP2 –right-of DFP1″.
Yeah, that is basically it. Enjoy. God, it took 5 hours to figure this out! Shit, it is just so easy, and so complex.
